I just pre-ordered the suitcase five-pack from Amazon. Hot damn!

i thought about getting it from Amazon, but everytime i order something like that it ends up coming damaged... not like damage you can really bitch about, but like dented corners and scratches, etc. maybe i'm being too picky...

I'm not so concerned about the condition of the case, just the contents. I MUST have a copy of the workprint. I was fortunate enough to see it at that rare Castro screening in SF years back. It's not only my favorite version, but it's also the most intriguing cut because of its various differences and rough edges, such as temp track music and dialogue that was later omitted.
I can't wait.

A query to the pre-order peeps... did you get the standard dvd, hd-dvd, or blu-ray? I haven't made the jump to any of the new hd formats, and am wondering if now is the time to do so. Blade Runner was the first DVD I bought when I got my first player back in the mid '90s (actually bought it *before* I had the player, just to be ready!). -

I just got DVD. I don't have an HD TV nor do I have a Blu-Ray player. But I do fantasize about having an HD version of BR! Some day...

i'm not über-geeky about my stuff, but if it's gonna be scratched and dented i'd rather *I* did it than to have it come like that...
i'm thinking about buying the HD version just on the premise that it will necessitate the purchase of a player... *G* then comes the big screen TV... and a killer sound system...
